Since October 1995, (almost) the smallest gallery in the world has been a distinctly different art gallery: it is simply a window onto the street.

Each private viewing takes place on the first Sunday of the month from 11:30 a.m.
One or more works (painting, photography, sculpture) by the artist of the month are on permanent display.

It also has an exhibition room of almost 200 m2 located at the back of the house in a former clothing workshop, in a typical Roubaix industrial building.
The private viewing is the key moment of the exhibition. It always starts on the pavement outside and is a moment of pure living art: music, dance, theatre... all celebrated with a glass of cider.

A veritable Lille institution, "Chez Rita", a former Roubaix waffle factory, is now home to resident artists.

This hive of activity is a living, working space as well as a stopping off point for wanderers. It was created three years ago on the initiative of art amateurs who clubbed together to buy the building.
For a minimal rent, they offer premises for around fifty visual artists, stylists, photographers and silkscreen printers.

Espace Croisé is a contemporary art centre located on the Grand Place in Roubaix. Its programming seeks to convey the diversity and richness of today's art. More particularly, it specialises in photographic images, both still and moving, analogue and digital.
Espace Croisé puts on four major exhibitions a year, with a complementary series of events and screenings of films and videos by artists.
